Hoshino Coffee

I was definitely not thinking of blogging about this resturant at all when I was there so I am afraid there is not much photos available.

It was kind of like a last minute decision to eat there. I was shopping around with my friend at PS and we were just looking for some place with nice dessert to sit down and rest our feet.

Spotted Hoshino Coffee with not much queue so we decide to join in for a table. Personally I do not think they have a great variety in their menu so please look at the menu first before joining the queue. You won't want to wait so long for a table and end up with no desire for any of the food.

As I said earlier, we were looking for dessert so we ordered the famous pancake soffle there.

You will need to wait around 20 minutes for the pancake soffle. I guess they are made upon ordering only. Each serving is quite big so if you are a small eater, please share.

The pancake soffle is nice. Soft and spongy and not too sweet even with the syrup poured in. However, as I said, the serving is a bit too big for one. I am not likely to give this a try again within these few months after finishing the whole serving by myself. Haha...

This is pancake soffle style with mango. You have the option of having it with either softee or handmade whipped cream. Mine is in softee. Not sure if it's just that day or that's the original taste, the mango tasted a bit weird. In the end, we left them untouched.

This is pancake soffle style with chocolate and banana. I find it much nicer then the one with mango. If I ever want to try the pancake soffle again, I will definitely order this instead of the mango.

Total damage for this two pancake soffle is $31.78 including GST and service charges. It's really quite pricey. I think I can find nicer dessert with this kind of pricing. However, if you have not tried it before, the taste is worth a try.

4Fingers Crispy Chicken

I love chicken, especially fried chicken.

I have friends whom have been telling me that 4Fingers chicken is very nice and I must go and try them. However, everytime I walked past the outlet in ION, there is always a long queue and it seem quite hard to find an empty table so I have give it a miss all these while.

I went to PS last week to catch 'Blind Detective'. A very nice show (my opinion may be biased) and Andy Lau is so handsome (the truth!). Haha...

Anyway, while I was there, happen to see that 4Fingers has an outlet there. Not so long queue and I can see empty tables in there.

My conclusion after trying it out is that the chicken is really nice compared to the other fast food fried chicken available in Singapore. Pricing wise, it is also more expensive than other fast food restuarant. However, I am always willing to pay a bit more for nicer food. No reason to waste my calories on food that does not taste good.

The con of this resturant is service is too slow. I can now understand why there is a long queue. There is only 1 guy taking order and he is definitely not rushing to clear off that queue. Meet an indecisive customer in front of you, then it's just 'happy waiting in the queue' for you.

This is the menu taken from their website. I don't think it is the full menu as it does not contain the set that I have purchased. You can just easily go to the store to check them out.

I have ordered the 3 pieces drumstick set. I changed my drink to a bottled green tea and this set cost me $12 plus. The chicken has two favours, soy garlic and hot. My fries is seaweed fries. You can order kimchi fries too if you prefer that. I can't really tell the difference what the two favours of the chicken but they taste nice and the chicken is very tender.

Paris Baguette Cafe Singapore (Wisma Atria)

Paris Baguette Cafe has opened up in Singapore around late last year. Nice cafe, nice cake and definitely 'nice' prices for its food and drink.

I was in Seoul last year when I first tried the stuff there. I loved it so much that I had my breakfast there every morning. I find the pricing to be much more user-friendly than in Singapore.

Finally gotten a good look at the food sold in the cafe in Singapore and decide to give their cakes a try. They look too cute for me to say no. Most importantly, I manage to find an empty table within minutes.

I ordered the Earl Grey Tea Cake, Oh, My Baby Crepe and the Original Flavour Royal Pudding. Cake ranges from $6.50 to $8.50 a piece and the pudding ranges from $4 to $4.50 a bottle.

Cakes look nicer than they taste. Hehe... But I still find them quite nice. Cakes are soft and the flavouring are not too strong. You can find slices of stawberry between the layers of cakes.

You must try the pudding! I am not a great lover of pudding but this pudding won me hands down. It does not have the same texture as your normal pudding. It loves more milky. I have the original flavour. I think they add in caramel so you will need to stir it first before eating.

Above are the different flavours of the royal pudding that they have. However, on my visit, they only have three flavours available. I guess they will rotate the different flavours for sale each day and it just depend on your luck to see what they have for sale that day. I am definitely going back to try more of this.
