I am currently doing the underarm IPL hair removal treatment at the Scotts Square outlet. I have a great experience there and will like to share them with you.

Musee is using the S.S.C. hair removal method. It stands for 'Smooth Skin Control Hair Removal'. Using their specially formulated gel which will be activated when exposed to beams of filtered light, the treatment is gentle to the skin with minimal or no discomfort.

The hair removal process is as per below:

Still not sure what is the difference between S.S.C. hair removal method and the other traditional hair removal methods? Not to worry. Musee provided a chart to show the difference too.

The package that I have gotten is the unlimited underarm IPL hair removal. It may be unlimited but it doesn't mean you can go and have the treatment as many times as you want. Afterall, if it is effective, there isn't a need for you to go so often. The first 6 treatments will be once every 2 months. I can't remember how many you need to go after this but you can go back for the treatment as long as the shop is still in operation.

So you must be wondering how many times do you need to do the treatment before you can see the effective. There is a chart to provide you with a guideline

I am on my fifth treatment and I can really tell that the hair at my underarm seem to be hardly growing at all. Great news!!! The treatment is really fast. Whole process will take about 15 minutes and I never felt any pain at all.

If you decide you want to get this treatment like I did, the next thing you will need to decide is which outlet you want to have the treatment. This is because you need to stick to the same outlet for all your treatment. If you want to switch to a different outlet, well, I guess you can still do so but they will need to transfer your information over to the other outlets and I am not certain if they will charge you an admin fee for that so just stick to the same outlet. :p

The staff that I have encountered so far are very professional and nice. Most importantly, they never hardsell anything to me at all. I can hardly see this in any beauty salon in Singapore. It makes me feel like using more of their service. It goes to show you do not need to hardsell to get people to fork out their money. Providing an excellent experience to your client means everything to them.

Musee is having a promotion for their unlimited sessions of underarms hair removal package. Look at the chart below.

If you are signing up for the package, don't forget to code my member ID. 81034132. I will get a free gift but so do you. They are having the double priviledges campaign now.

Note:

I guess a lot of you will be asking this question now. How much does it cost? Well, I bought a deal voucher to test out this box. The voucher cost me $7.90 so it's really a great deal for me.

Without the deal, usually price is $19.95 per month or $219.45 for 13 months (about $16.88 per month). So is it worth it to get the box then? You can work out the maths and find out.

If you are interested to get a surprise every month and you don't mind trying out new products every now and then, I will say go ahead and get the box!

Instant App Workshop (App Development Workshop)

Groupon has a lot of interesting deals that we can come across every now and then. I was attracted to this particular deal when I first saw it.

For just $25, you can learn to create an app for your iphone, ipad, and android phone. That sound like an attractive deal and think of the satifaction of being able to create an app for my phone instead of downloading one created by others.

The course lasted for 3hrs. Within half an hour, I was almost falling asleep.

Firstly, the course is held at an inconvenient location. It is held in an industrial building at Kembangan on a Sunday. Participants are required to bring their own laptop for the course. The classroom is too small and too packed with people. Even before the class start, I am already lowering my expectation for the standard of this course.

The instructor is not a good speaker. He did not seem to be able to hold the attention of the students for long, except for those who were determined to get their money worth.

The worst part of this course is, the so call creation of the app, is done via a webpage, free to public. If you are thinking of creating a game app or productivity app, you are in for a disappointment. All the instruction taught was to create an app fo a RSS feed. Actually I won't say he taught us to do it. Anyone who can read should be able to follow the instructions stated on the website and create the app easily all by themselves.

Don't think of asking too many questions. The instruction is not able to give a direct answer to most of the questions asked. It is fairly obvious that he is not able to answer questions that is not found in the faq of the website.

One important point to note is that the app created during the course, you actually can't download it to your phone at all. The best that you can do is only a preview of the app on the website that you use to create the app. To download the app to your phone, you will need to pay to create a developer account with itune. Submit the app to itune for review and if it is approved, you can then download it from itune.

Last but not the least, the instructor took sometime to explain this course that he is conducting which will help you to generate unlimited income. For just a low fee of $1,600, he will teach you how to create a game app. $1,600!!! I already felt that he had cheated me of my $25 for this course. Do I look like I am stupid enought to fork out $1,600 to attend his course again? Dream on!

If anyone is interested to create your own app, you can try it out at www.appmakr.com or http://hitzapps.com/.

Have fun at the website. You should be able to create your own app at NO COST at all.

Hair Rebonding @ Hair Sense Gallery Hairdressing (Far East Plaza)

I have purchased a groupon voucher a month ago for hair rebonding at Hair Sense Gallery Hairdressing.

My hair was in a bad shape even though I have just rebonded it in January 2012 and I have been wanting to rebond it again. Search on the web and I do see quite a few good comment for this salon and so I didn't hesitate and bought the voucher. Okok... I know.. I cheap po... It was only $75 for hair rebonding with hair cut. I can't resist such good deal or can I?

Let's talk about the shop. The shop has relocated from level 2 to level 4. I really had a hard time looking for it. It was at the back row of all the shops. The shop is quite small or maybe coz there is juz too many ppl in there. It is the most packed hair salon in far east on that day!

My appointment was at 1pm but I was informed that I will need to wait as there is no one ready to serve me now. I left my number and went for a walk. Guess when did I finally manage to get a seat in there? 4PM!!! I actually have to wait 3 hrs and this is when I have already make an appointment! A totally disappointment!

There were like 4 staff in the shop but they seated 8 customers at a time. At every one time, there are at least 8 customers half done with their hair. Not to mention they had another 1 or 2 customers seated at a corner sometime with their hair wet or with chemical on.

Totally time taken for my hair to get rebonded is around 4 hrs. I could have got it done in 3 hrs if they have not decide to leave me half done coz there is this lady (director of who know what company) came in and they decide to serve her first. Good service for her. Drink was served. No need to q. Still got time to chit chat a bit with her. Hello??!!! I am a paying customer too. I didn't even get a glass of plain water.

End result. I have to say the hair looks not bad after the re-bonding session. For $75, it's really quite a good deal. However, combine with the service and experience provided, I do not think I will want to go back again even if it's just $75. To me, good service is as important as good result.
